📖 How to use Reserved Bits Checker?

Reserved Bits Checker is used to verify if your precisely calculated HEX mask accidentally violates "forbidden" territories in the microcontroller memory. Writing to "Reserved" bits (marked in documentation as "Must be kept at reset value") causes unstable processor behavior.

  • The top bar of rectangles above the bits defines the Reservation Mask. By default, bits are not reserved (-).
  • Clicking on a rectangle cyclically changes the rule: Must be 0Must be 1No Rule.
  • Enter your HEX in the field at the top. If any bit violates your reservation map (e.g., you enter a one where a 0 must be), the screen will flash red!
